Chattanooga, TN– FITS®, makers of the best fitting performance socks in the world, announces their sponsorship of the 19th annual Janss Pro-Am Classic, held in memory of Sun Valley Company owner Bill Janss. The Pro-Am series of events and races will begin on Thursday, March 31st with the opening celebration and pro presentation at Michel’s Christiania in Ketchum, ID, and proceed with 3 days of fun-filled team skiing races in legendary Sun Valley.
Highly regarded as “the best party on snow,” the Janss Pro-Am Classic pairs skiers of all abilities with a celebrity Senior Pro and Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation Junior Pro to form teams of six. The teams then go head-to-head in a dual giant slalom format on world-famous Bald Mountain. Through out the entire event, skiers will be judged on who is sporting the best costume according to this year’s theme, “The Reel Deal, Movie Magic.” Skiers will pick their favorite movie, and compete for the best costume, as well as the title of fastest pro, fastest amateur, fastest team, Lee Gilman most inspirational, best crash, and championship team.
The Janns Pro-Am Classic benefits the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation, raising the necessary funds to produce quality on-snow programs, need-based scholarships for tuition and travel, academic assistance, racing opportunities and world-class training facilities for SVSEF athletes.
